Frank is right .... it is an easy process to replace Savage front brake pads. Unbolt the caliper, pop out the old pads, but hold the caliper piston so it doesn't move out of the bore. Pop in new pads after squeezing the piston in slightly to separate the pads for easy installation back onto the disc. DON'T squeeze the front brake lever with the caliper removed---remember the front brake hose has to flex with the front suspension. Caution, if there is any fluid around the caliper--could be a leak--get it checked. If the brake hose has cracks replace it, .....Krug
